It is pretty amazing to see this in the flesh, er, I mean in the rock. I had seen this when it appeared in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075860/). Now that I have written this, I had to go back to see the scene in the movie in which the Tower and the mothership are truly revealed. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDABVdrR4gA)
For this trip, The Wife and I flew to Denver from Austin before renting a car for a loop that allowed us to see many national parks from the Badlands to the Grand Tetons.
